VIDEO REVIEW NOW PLAYING POSTER

Right off the bat, you know there’s time travel goin on here. It’s not exactly prevalent, because if it was, we’d all be dead for some reason or another because that’s too big of a responsibility for our little monkey minds. At least here, it’s handled pretty good. And, it has Emily Blunt.

Okay, stickin strictly to the no spoilers thing here for plot, though despite there being time travel which is revealed in like the first minute, I will say there is no snake jazz here. It’s a shame, but seeing as there is no Rick & Morty or The Terminator subplot, thus, No snake jazz here. Just some damn fine plottening that may not make perfect sense but good enough to not wonder why they didn’t just go back and kill baby Hitler and be done with it. Because that’s not the story here. It’s totally different. No Nazis in this film. So move the fuck on, Indiana Jones, I know you.

Solid drama here in the sci-fi wrappings. I mean, you can see the poster so you know there’s Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt alls acting suspiciously similar, for whatever reasons. It works, though I think Gordon-Levitt has to wear contact lenses in this so it makes him look a bit weird. Sorry, Rian Johnson. Despite the awesomeness of handling a severely sticky plotpoint, I’m dinging your ass on the Look here for that. It looks...unnatural. But then again that might just be because of the drugs involved? I dunno. Still looks strange. Other than that? Fantastic, hits all the right notes without being too cheese. Some of the secondary characters aren’t the best, but Jeff Daniels is actually decent here in a dramatic role, and small but effective role by Garret Dillahunt. Definitely one to check out.

Great Scene: That one with Emily Blunt. It really doesn’t matter which one.

Music Notes: No snake jazz. Quit yammering on about it.
