Some earlier giallo from Bava, with some good atmosphere, nice lighting, some sadistic killings and a bits of that Italiano Co-cainorino. Allegedly. Seems more like heroin from the ways they present it but hey, I’m just a stupido Americano, am I right?
A Fashion House in the Europes seems plagued by a lot of bad luck lately. Storms taking out their sign, a Masked Killer taking out one of their models. Pretty viciously, might I add, all things considered. This results in the Haute Couture House of Design peoples being subjected to the investigations, just as they discover Isabelle, the now-dead model, was keeping a diary. All present seem highly suspect as they eye that little red book. And unfortunately for them, the detectives are always one step behind the next killing. Dammit!
I wouldn’t say this is the most solid whodunnit, but besides the cool lighting and locations, it does have the nice models and stylish wardrobes to back it. Too bad they ruin the suspense early by showing it’s actually the detective dressed as the guy from Scream doing all the killins. Or not. Shit, I wouldn’t spoil it for you like that. He’s actually dressed like Rorschach from The Watchmen. And it’s not the police detective. Maybe. Old-school .. It’s okay.
