VIDEO REVIEW

There’s not much to this one for story, cast or dialogue, but it is still pretty damn well done. Kind of a Viking Wizard Apothocary Blacksmith Warrior Monster feverdream. Darkly told, and all mysteriously-like, a dark fairytale with an occasional bit of gore.

There’s this Viking-ish kind of dude. A small girl in his protection. Something lurking about. He kills it. Seems like he’s good at killing a lot of things, particularly that are not necessarily human. And, he has a horse. For awhile, at least.

This seems kinda Swedish to me, or somewhere up from those Norwegish lands of cold and mythologies and black metal. Not really much of a budget, but the story is small enough that it doesn’t really need much, mostly just some cool locations, well done props and appropriately haunty kind of score. A little CGI manipulations here and there but mostly practical. The main dude is pretty good in playing the role, even if he only does have like 5 lines, but he does bleed really good.

Great Scene: The obligatory Northern Lights.

Creation Notes: Good recommendation. And apparently made in Portugal, not ScandaSwedian. For, like, $30K budget? Huh! Would never have guessed it. Except for a few first-person shots, it’s all pretty solid and looks pretty damn good. Dang.
