First movie by this guy named Quentin Tarantino. Back in the VHS days, this came out. Sounded decent. Had Harvey Keitel. Didn’t look like much. Then watched it. Pow! Damn. Yeah. Helluva way to make an entrance.
There’s a crew. An imminent heist. The Guys’ names are colors, but the suits are all black. Less said the better, watch how it plays out and see, you will not be disappointed.
What can I say here that hasn’t already been said about this film? This one is a kick to the head for great dialogue, characters, and small story of thieves, killers and liars, all to a crazy soundtrack narrated by Steven Wright. I took some time off from watching this film again for a long time. Wanted to watch it through a new pair of eyes, so to speak. Still fantastic, even with the aged Madonna references (who from her latest antics hasn’t aged well either, just sayin). This is like 50s crime noir, Fast-paced hard dialogue from start to finish, this is one of the perfect crime movies, bouncing around the timeline to highlight the key points to balance information and tension. Excellent casting. Simple but effective execution. Crime drama at its finest here, I’ll call you Mr. Pink if you argue. You can have a different opinion, but I mistrust your decisions in life if you don’t like this.
