VIDEO REVIEW

This is not really what you would call a realistic kind of movie. Are you surprised? No. Is it not good? Yes. But it does have a weird energy to it, solely because of Nicolas Fuckin Cage. And for that, it is worth watching. Kinda.

There’s a creepy old shut-down kids birthday restaurant that has a lot of similarities to what was once known as Showbiz Pizza Place, or the more proliferated knock-off Chuck E. Cheese. Neither served good food. But they did have some kick-ass arcade games, back in the days of Atari and shit. And they always were some creepy-ass places in retrospect, and this is exactly why you’d never want to be locked in one after sunset.

I no longer ask about the projects that Nic gets involved in. This one is probably worth the trailer alone, though I technically never saw it because trailers generally suck and give away too much of the movie, which is one of the reasons I don’t show actual video clips in my reviews. Wait...Okay, I just watched the trailer. Yeah. That’s pretty much the movie, with a little less suspect exposition. It’s kinda creepy, a bit gory, but kinda goofy too. Weird camera lens shit going on makes it a bit more unsettling. The kinda suspect diverse casting for a small town and lack of any nudity doesn’t help the situation. I guess there’s a movie based on a game called Five Nights at Freddy’s that this is kinda similar to? I dunno, never played, never watched. Because it didn’t star Nicolas Fuckin Cage. But at least this has way more cheese than any pizza from Showbiz, I’ll give it that.

Great Scene: Turns out Nic is also a fuckin Pinball Wizard!

Janitor Notes: Say what you will, Cage can clean up a place like a muthafuckah! He even uses a toothbrush for those weird nooks and crannies!
