CRIME CAPERINGS
This month gots a lot of stealin' going on, some griftins, and a bit of straight-up killings for those that don't play the game right. A lot of Donald E. Westlake materials as a subtheme, they are always a good ride in bad behavior. Plus the Saturday Night Specials including not-Sasquatches, Cops in Time and, of course, some CAGE!!! -Enjoy!

When cops and robbers and the cameraman bring their A-game, but the scriptwriter kinda phones it in.

There’s no going back to the future in this one, but there is a higher number of asses being kicked than in normal timelines.

Some fine British Crime Shenanigans that also for some reason stars Sting.
The Gentlemen
Director: Guy Ritchie
British criminal shenanigans, always good to shake up the pieces on the board to see what’s what. Apparently a Lot of Wankers, that’s what.
The Last Boyscout
Director: Tony Scott
Detectivins’ in the 90s isn’t all glamorous like it was back in the 50s. But there is better firepower.

The Hot Rock
Director: Peter Yates
When the planning and execution is impeccable, but sticking the landing gets a bit...sticky.
Bank Shot
Director: Gower Champion
For a good crime caper that might be a little more silly than serious, just add Boss Hogg!
The Legend of Boggy Creek
Director: Charles B. Pierce
Dangit! Looks like that Sasquatch is settin’ up regional franchises!
Part 1: 5/1/2026
Parker
Director: Taylor Hackford
For being such a criminal mastermind, Parker really doesn’t read criminals very well.
Payback – Straight Up (Director’s Cut)
Director: Brian Helgeland
You know what they say, Payback is a bitch. Especially when it’s served Straight Up.
Next
Director: Lee Tamahori
This is kinda like that Unbreakable movie, but with less lame comic book references.
